Fantastic

I'm still in a partying mood from two nights ago, and this was just the medicine I needed. The figure of the guy punching himself in the head made me laugh, but my favourite was the guy making the "hitting the gong" motion. Very clever and very worthy of the front page.

You win an Internet.

You killed my speakers

Do the words: "Peak" and "Distortion" mean anything to you?
The absolutely horrid sound ruined the whole thing in my opinion.

Not too bad

It was good, but it was a little too patriotic towards Space Marines for my liking. Sure they're the original army and most popular and powerful one, but I think it needs more emphasis on the other races.

Nice

Clever game. I like it how it explores the fast food concept much more broadly than just restricting to the actual "restaurant". The fact that it ridicules Western civilisation is always a plus too.

It was fairly difficult at first, but after a while you get the hang of it. The most challenging part is that it's very overwhelming. This flash enforces my relief that I quit that crappy job years ago.

Hated it

You did a great job at pissing me off. You've got that down pat. It was frustrating how it was so slow once you died and I had to tap my fingers waiting to play again. The part with the pots and pans, as well as the part how he had superhuman hearing (the phone dial, come on) had me going: "OH FUCK OFF!"

Another thing that got me is how the girl was stupid enough to even go in the house. I know that if she didn't, there wouldn't be a game, but really. It's common sense.

Finally, I hated the violence. Blood and gore isn't cool. I'm so sick of seeing it in flashes, cult movies "emotive" portraits and the like. It loses its effect when it's used all the time. This game put horrid images in my head and it puzzles me that you spend your spare time making a game with such disturbing content.

hmm puzzling

Hmmm... I seem to be sensing a peculiar pattern of fives scored on your page. Looks like someone's been craving for top-of-the-charts glory and voting their own work, yes?

As for the song, could use a more imaginative title, a bit more emphasis on the faint string-sounding bits at the beginning and a bit more diversity with octaves in the melody. The whole thing sounds dissonant to me, so it's not entirely to my liking. It's not a bad tune, don't get me wrong, but definitely not worth that strange 5...

Thanks for the tips and review.

You are right, the newgrounds system lets the author vote on their own work once. So i often will do the initial vote. The thing is, the way the audio system works, if i give something a 5 it will appear at the top of the list, more people will see it and vote on it, which moves it to it's fair place. If i leave it at 0 then people may never see it to decide what they think. It just seemed to make more sense to get it out there.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Very mediocre

I personally thought it was very boring at the start. As it neared the end, it sounded a little better, but I just think the instruments you used were too dull and almost cliche. What program did you use? It just sounds like something whipped up in your average MIDI Composer.

It reminds me of old SNES games like Crono Trigger and FF6. So if that was what you were trying to achieve, then you managed that well.

Itys responds:

lol. thanks for the input. it is something i just whipped up with synthetic instruments.

Fairly good

I usually don't like techno as much as other Electronica genres, but this is nice and diverse, albeit short techno piece. (Songs are best kept short though in my opinion)

The beat builds up pretty well, but I think that it shouldn't have remained consistent throughout the entire piece necessarily. Maybe just 4-8 bars of focusing on the electric-sounding melody would've worked pretty well, and then BOOM back into the rythm.

Aside from my nit-picking, I'd say this was a good effort.
